On the second weekend in July the streets come alive with the Norway Arts Festival, a three-day event that celebrates the visual and performing arts and draws thousands of residents and visitors to downtown Norway.
The Festival features the annual Sidewalk Art Show that attracts scores of artists from all over New England and has been a vital community celebration for over 40 years. Performances include dancers, musicians, poets, entertainers and theatrics. Festivities include a kickoff evening lecture on Thursday evening at the Norway Memorial Library. The Friday street dance features well-known bands and musicians for a community celebration. Other events include a library book sale, public lucheons and suppers. On Saturday the Norway Tri attracts athletes to the area for swimming, biking and running in a qualifying sprint triathlon.
Norway Downtown's Easter Fest and Halloween Fest offer family-themed activities along the length of Main Street, with Main Street businesses and organizations opening their doors to join in the fun.

January’s cold brings Snow Fest to Lake Pennesseewassee, with snowmobile races, an antique snowmobile show, a chowder cookoff, and more.
An Ice Fishing Derby is held on the lake in February. Many community events punctuate the year, reminders of Norway’s small town charm.
Western Foothills Land Trust's Annual Snowshoe Festival in February includes presentations, exhibits in Norway, snowshoe races and fun for everyone at Roberts Farm Preserve during the day, and fiddling and contra dance music at the Grange in the evening.
